Over the past 8 years I have been making and donating quilts to Quilt for Kids. This is a charity organization that covers the whole country and supplies the completed quilts to kids with cancer. I have also donated many quilts to the Linus Project and Hancock Fabrics cancer drive for Kid Quilts. I continue to support their young lives with the gift that will wrap them in love.

The Black Swans quilt you see hanging here holds special meaning to me as it was my first quilt ever entered into a juried quilt show in Lowell, MA. For those of you who don’t know, a juried show means that the quilt is judged by a special panel to deem if your workmanship and construction quality meet their ridged standards. When I ever received the letter saying I was accepted, I was overwhelmed with glee. I was chosen out of over 250 quilts that were entered and only 160 qualified for the special yearly event. The Black Swans consist of many small pieces to create the design. The intricate work on the star and sharp points added to the beauty of this show piece. The quilt was all hand quilted in a feather design and a simple grid pattern around the big center star. The quilt was made from a quilt pattern by Pam Bono.

The pictures show the arena where all the quilts are on display and a close up of me with the Black Swans quilt. This is one quilt I will never part with.

All the quilts that I make have the same attention to the detail in them. Each one is made with all quality fabrics and all natural cotton battings. By doing this I can be assured that it will last for many years of loving use.

Now has come the time to start sharing my creative works with you. Please click the  "Quilts for Sale" button to the left and browse through the quilts. Don’t forget to look at the close up details and don’t be afraid to ask questions or request more pictures and information. I can be reached through my Contact link. Happy shopping!

              Welcome to Country Swan Quilts

The Country Swan was born out of my love for quilting. I have been sewing most of my life and have been quilting since 1984 when I made my first quilt. Over the years my family and friends all have benefited from my passion for sewing.
